Happy Birthday to me! [yesterday]

DISCLAIMER: This post may be longer than usual o.o lol
I had a delightful Birthday. I woke up at around 12, and chilled in bed for an hour. Then mommy and I left the house at 1 to go shopping all day since I had gotten a lovely amount of birthday money. I hadn't asked for any gifts, and I kind of only wanted to go shopping so it magically worked out the way I wanted it to :3. We went to Discover Mills since it has a good amount of Kawaii stores along with clothing stores that I enjoy. I spent $111 and some change in total. I like to shop as if I don't have money so then I can pick up things I actually want and not just impulse buy. Also being a cheap-o gets you more goodies lol.

We stopped at Ross first. It had been so long since I had gone shopping at a Ross. It felt so nice to step foot inside once again. Haha. I meant to buy a "Summer" bag/purse, but got sidetracked by the clothes...as you can see.

I've noticed that I'm starting to like dresses a lot more now.Probably because it's something easy to stick on in the summer time, and it gets enough breeze. Plus, I've come to the realization that yes, I am cute and I can wear cute clothing instead of sticking to boyish outfits lol. BUT I DIGRESS lol. 
After fiddling around in Ross, we stopped at the first Kawaii-esque store that came up, which is called Pica Pica. I didn't get too too much. Just a few goodies for a future swap and some anime posters for my wall back at school.

After that fun trip, we stopped at this store called Silvina. They had some really nice clothing pieces, but it was more than what I wanted to pay for them at the moment so I only walked out with a halter top and a bandeau. I needed a new bandeau since I had accidentally destroyed by lace ones, and the halter top was just too cute.

We stopped at earthbound afterwards to restock on incense and cones. Both mommy and I got 100. I mixed it up and got incense and cones while my mommy only bought 100 cones lol. Oh, and if you sign up for their mailing list on the website, they'll email you a 20% off coupon :D!

After leaving there and walking around we arrived at the last two stores I wanted to step in, Papaya and Lydia's Art Box. 
I stumbled upon one treasure in Papaya. I picked up a sweater since I dont care the season it is. If I can get clothes that I'll need for a different season cheaper than SO BE IT! lol. And boy was that sweater cheap! The price on the tag said $3, but I didn't notice that all clearance items were take an additional 30% off! so I paid 2.23 in total for the sweater!

Lydia's artbox is the other Kawaii-esque store that I favor at Discover Mills. They have a Sanrio store, but nothing ever jumps out at me making me want it. I got a bit more at Lydia's than what I bought at Pica Pica because I wanted to get some Hello Kitty items for a swap I'm getting ready for in June.

 That was pretty much all of my birthday. Later on I got visited by some friends and hung out for the rest of the night. Some negativity did happen around midnight, but I'm going to ignore it and move on instead of talking about it (≧ω≦).

I hope everyone's Memorial day weekend has gone as delightfully as mine ^_^ I'm also supposed to be getting one of my cartilages pierced [the left ear] for my birthday, but it'll be happening another day.

Mommy and me

How I spent my last day as a 19 year old.

So, my parents woke me early to go get Snowballs. When we got to the snowball truck, they were still setting up...so we decided to go play around in Inman Park instead.

Since I was hungry, we went to this Mexican restaurant called Pure. It was quite delicious. I ordered Shrimp fajitas with Sweet Tea [sweet tea and water are my crack o.o]. My mommy had this delicious Cuban Sandwich with dos equis, and my pops had fish tacos with a peach mojito. We ordered Chocolate Churros for dessert.

 After stuffing our faces, we walked around for a bit to see what else was around. My pop's did have a little camera fun with my cam, but it's of random people so I wont show those photos lol.

All in all it was a good day. Later that day, I went on a "date". The fella and I went to go see MIB3. It was a very nice outing. We watched it late, so when we got out he got to tell me Happy Birthday first :)

The Big 2-0

Today marks the day of my surviving child birth, and the obstacles this world has thrown at me for a 20th year...in other words...HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

Review: Black Rock Shooter

Disclaimer: possible spoilers
So, I just got done watching Black Rock Shooter, and while It's still in my mind, I'll do a review on it :3.
First things first, the series is only 8 episodes long but I kind of enjoyed that. Every now and then, I prefer series to be short so I don't feel like it's going to take me forever to finish lol. My friend believes that you can't grow emotional attachment to the characters if the series is so short, but hey I cried at the end of this one!
At first, I joked about the episodes as I watched them. All I could think about was "Is this what Junior High Japanese girls have to go through just to make friends?!", and then there were the Lesbian jokes. After getting passed that, I realized there's a deeper meaning and a cute little lesson. Not only is the anime "cute" and "girly", but it is quite action-packed. 

I give it a 7.5 out of 10 and a "yes, watch this".

Kawaii Queendom

 I remember in an old blog that I had, I had talked about myself being a "Kawaii Queen". Well, I had self-labeled myself as a Kawaii Princess at the time and wondered about being a Kawaii Queen or a Kawaii something since my love for kawaii is never ending. I hadn't done so to make it seem like I was some almighty collector of Kawaii. I'd thought about it only because it was just something I had thought about lol. I think I'll stick to a label of "Kawaii Starfish". Yes, that is it! I will be a Kawaii Starfish. In my mind it will be better than being a Kawaii Queen or Princess.

Oooo, and when I do giveaways and *RAKs [yes I've decided to start doing RAKs again] I'll have my kawaii starlings as my "helpers". HAHA, I have grown quite fond of stars while adjusting to my new nickname of Starfish. But I am not a Starfish o.o. We must remember that! I am an octopus  named Starfish lol. Here they are:
1. Being able to share my experiences, and what I know while gaining some knowledge about other individuals and their ways of life inspires me to blog. I love learning about different cultures [which includes learning about different people in those cultures], so reading up on someone's blog is a easy way to get an outlook on a specific culture sometimes (or just to learn about that person ^_^).

2. I guess I could say that I admire Tyler, the creator and his crew a good bit. They live their own lives, and do what makes them happy. I think that's something that everyone should learn. Though if you're only looking at them as some demonic [which they are not demonic] atheists, then you probably have no clue what I'm talking about lol.

3. My plans for the Summer....Well, #1 is to turn 20 [tomorrow *dances*]
Trying to get a summer job, create A LOT. I actually just want to enjoy this summer wholeheartedly, and not feel like I wasted it.

4. O.O you are asking the wrong one. LOL. My cousins taught me how to put on makeup in like the 9th grade, and from then on I just wing it...I don't really have any set Tips or nuffin o.o...

5. I'm going to say Yotsuba lol [manga counts too right? lol]. Every time I read one of the volumes, I'm just like "If I were to have a child this would be MY child." She's just so silly and odd, and I feel like that's me. Though she does get sad, she tries to stay happy mostly [ok yeah I know she's like 5 or something, SO].

6. Oi vey. I think I may have had a worst month of college this passed semester. I just felt so overwhelmed by EVERY class =_=. I was excluding myself from the rest of the world. I broke down a lot. Plus I had a boyfriend at the time that was TOTAL SHIT... I actually don't really want to go into much detail cuz I don't really want to remember.

7. I guess I show my individuality by just being me? Like I feel like subconsciously my body/mind decides things to make me "different" because I've had a common name [my full fricken name lol] for all my life, so being forced to not be the only Ashley in the classroom for so long flipped a "you must be different somehow" switch or something lol. Just my theory though :3

8. Favorite TV shows hmmm. Shin Chan right off the bat. Then there's BGC because it's HILARIOUS. I've grown quite fond of Girls, and love Community.

9. I don't think that I have Haters, but if I did I'd deal with them by not caring. I don't live my life for anyone else but myself [and my parents for personal reasons], so what they have to say about me matters none.

10. My favorite Blog to read would have to be Totally Tutorials because it's full of crafting ideas that I can't wait to jump into. They're never ending O.o!!

11. To be truthful, I have my negative feelings towards a good bit of the younger generation. Just some of their choices don't seem productive for our future.
